On stage and performing professionally from the age of 17, Mark has a relaxed and engaging stage presence and a powerful and versatile vocal range and ability.
With many years of experience performing all around Australia on some of the biggest stages, Mark put The Captain together with the intention of it being the premier country coverband in Australia.
While Country and Country/Southern Rock are his favourites, growing up in a musical house hold with influences all across the musical landscape, Mark has a varied and wide range of tastes. After 20 years as a performer he his comfortable covering just about anything.
Michael’s skills in music are as varied as the instruments he plays, making him one of Australia’s most in demand musicians. When he’s not rocking pubs and clubs with pop rock, he’s either gracing the stage at a corporate event, tracking and producing Aria Club Chart #1’s, or teaching an artful blend of traditional music theory with pop music applications to any age.
Having started playing piano at age 4, Michael’s music was developed in real-time on stage at a local church. Since then he has played literally 1000’s of gigs and has played with artists such as Louie Shelton (Wrecking Crew), Mark Gable (The Choirboys), Tania Doko (Bachelor Girl), Sara Storer, Andy Toombs, Scott Whatman, Brooke Supple, Melanie Gray, the Darwin Symphony Orchestra and many more.
Stylistically Michael is comfortable with most genres across keys, guitar or bass. But it’s his love of EDM and deep understanding of commercial music that help him bring a unique and fresh approach to all who he works with.
Life on the road is the norm for Andy, a now 25 year seasoned musician who plays Bass behind the likes of Kasey Chambers , Lee Kernaghan and Troy Cassar-Daley to name but a few. Releasing his original album in 2020 thrust Andy to centre stage and on a journey of self’s expression (that he often hid) to further hone his craft and challenge his inner critic. He currently lives in Darwin, Australia where he is still heavily engaged in the entertainment scene both locally and abroad. “I’m eternally grateful for what has come before but also quietly optimistic about what’s yet to come.”
Clay has been drumming since he was 5yo and has a diverse drumming style that is spread across almost every genre of music. He has played drums in cover bands through Adelaide, Melbourne and Darwin and while he enjoys his rock, Clay has moved into the country style of drums.
More recent shows have included tribute acts for Crowded House, Oasis, Neil Diamond 'Hot August Night' and more notably the Luke Combs cover show 'Hurricane'.
